Volunteering at AACA
We want all AACA families to support our community. In doing so, we ask for time, talent, and treasure. Volunteering is one of the best ways to give back and get involved in your children's education. Each family is required to perform 20 hours of service within the parish (school or church) community. Families with student-athletes are required to volunteer an additional 8 hours to support the athletics program. Should families opt out or volunteer less than the required 20 hours, a fee will be charged (as stated in our tuition policy). In order to create the safest environment for our students and per guidelines set by the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office for the Protection of Children and Youth, all volunteers must be screened before engaging with children. Though there are a few steps, AACA Administrative Assistant Connie Del Toral is available to help you throughout the process.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer at the events below:
Gardening Help Needed
Do you like working outside in nature? Cultivate your green thumb and AACA's Native Pollinator garden by becoming a garden volunteer. Responsibilities include garden clean up, planting days, general summer maintenance- and installing our irrigation system. People with garden experience are encouraged to help- but all volunteers will be trained. For more information please reach out to Becky Manuel, rmanuel@alphonsusacademy.org
