TEST PREP
The Catholic school admissions test is the HSPT (High School Placement Test) and the CPS school test is the High School Admissions Test. Our middle school team prepares students by content levels for the high school entrance exams during class. Most students find that this is enough prep. We believe in a healthy balance regarding test prep. The pressure to succeed on these tests is very high and additional test prep may only add to that high level of anxiety. Confidence, content knowledge and test strategies are the key to success.
If you feel that your child may need more test prep, there are various private companies that offer classes and tutoring. Note: we suggest beginning prep no earlier than Summer prior to 8th or during the fall of 8th grade.
